USA, Apr 23 (VNN) — The Facts About Srila Prabhupada's Poisoning by Arsenic
A letter-report-book, from-by Nityananda das New Jaipur Press, 416 pages, 6 x 9 inches, softcover Illustrated with color plates and graphs
Dear followers of Srila Prabhupada,
The dreaded day has arrived when I can no longer postpone the announcement of my investigative report into the chronic arsenic poisoning of Srila Prabhupada. It is with great regret and a heavy heart that I must be the bearer of such bad news; I had undertaken this research project because my conscience would not allow me to avoid it. Only because I am convinced that the truth in this matter is proven with great certitude, have I compiled the evidence to date into this extensive publication, which I want to put in the hands of every follower of Srila Prabhupada. I only ask for a donation of $10 (or more) to help defray the printing costs and pursue further investigative work. If you would like a copy of the book, please send your donation and mailing address to:
Vedic Village, PO Box 208, Mayodan, NC 27027
or e-mail me, or call 1-800-242-0115.
Please include $2 postage for USA, $4 for Canada & Mexico, $7 all other places. Foreign air mail: $15.
We can take Visa/MC also. This is not a money making project; I am already out in printing and investigative expenses more than I hope to recover even a fraction of. Besides, nothing free is taken seriously.
It is my position that this book, Someone Has Poisoned Me, solidly and irrefutably PROVES that Srila Prabhupada was slowly poisoned with arsenic for nine or more months in 1977.
Let the naysayers and critics, doctors and ISKCON apologists come forth to meet the cold, hard truth. It is my proposition that the problems in ISKCON since the departure of Srila Prabhupada have been due to the FACT of His Divine Grace's being poisoned with one of the world's most deadly and horrible poisons- namely and specifically, arsenic. This book is not hype, speculation or unworthy of your serious inspection. It is not anti-anyone or politically motivated.
It is an honest and open presentation of facts and evidence. There are seven categories of confirming evidence discussed in detail in 45 chapters and 22 appendices in over 400 pages of small print. It is organized carefully and supported by extensive bibliographical references.
My investigation's findings are harmonious with those of Balavanta Prabhu, the official ISKCON poison-issue investigator, who will be concluding his own report within the near future for the GBC's eyes only. However, it is believed that my report contains much more extensive interpretation, general evidence and technical detail. Further, my report is available to anyone. I have 4000 copies to distribute, so if you can help pass them out in your area, please call me. The first step is to distribute the truth.
The book contains:
1. Full disclosure of audio forensics with spectrographs of the poison whispers.
2. All major and relevant documents, letters, statements, etc to date on the poison nvestigation.
3. A history of the investigation.
4. Analysis of the Chandra Swami "connection." 5. Triple verified translation of key Bengali and Hindi-spoken portions of tape recordings from 1977 where Srila Prabhupada and others speak about the poisoning.
6. Analysis of the symptoms of arsenic poisoning and kidney disease.
7. A 154 page section called the Health Chronicle, a detailed compilation of Srila Prabhupada's health symptoms and deterioration in 1977, reconstructed from all known available biographical sources.
8. Analysis of Srila Prabhupada's health symptoms and conclusion of chronic arsenic poisoning.
9. Results and interpretation of two neutron activation analyses performed on two different sample-relics of Srila Prabhupada's hair.
10. Comparison with other case histories of arsenic poisoning, including that of Napoleon Bonaparte.
11. Discussion of possible motives, suspects, witnesses, the science of reverse speech, poisoning methodology, conclusions.
12. Other contents include: poisoning throughout history, appointment tape audio forensic analyses, analysis of Tamal Krishna as a suspect, was the water or makharadhvaja tainted, and 13. Much much more...
It is my hope that every follower of Srila Prabhupada will take the time with an open mind to study the hardcore evidence presented in this report and judge for themselves its value. Despite the expected ISKCON and GBC denials and discrediting of what they still believe to be a "malicious theory," please help me to put this book in the hands of those who are devoted to Srila Prabhupada. This is a grass roots program to establish the truth.
Again, Srila Prabhupada was definitely poisoned by arsenic in 1977, and most probably by His own disciples who are probably still present in ISKCON today. The fact of the poisoning may be difficult to cope with, but it is the truth, and I apologize for any distress or turmoil this truth may bring.
Your servant,

Update On Srila Prabhupada Poisoning Investigation
BY NITYANANDA DAS
USA, Aug 26 (VNN) — For the last 15 weeks the underground distribution of Someone Has Poisoned Me, a 412 page book written as a letter to all followers of Srila Prabhupada, has circulated throughout the devotee world in the USA, Canada, China, India, England, Fiji, Trinidad, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and many other countries. Almost half the original printing of 4000 copies are "out there." The spontaneous network through which these books have passed was formed by those wanting to know about the compiled evidence which establishes conclusively that Srila Prabhupada was slowly poisoned by arsenic in 1977. However, it is not known who perpetrated this horrible act, at least not yet.
The response has been much different than I expected. Actually, there has been absolutely NO official response from ISKCON, nor from any GBC, "guru", sannyasi or committee. This silence is interpreted as either a total lack of leadership, or a quiet fear of dealing with an issue that the growing evidence will not allow to be refuted. Many expressions of dismay have been heard by myself about this silence of those responsible for Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON. Indeed, silence by the ISKCON leaders in this situation can be said to be equal to a degree of complicity. A most terrible crime has been uncovered, and they are silent! It connotes shades of tacit approval or casual indifference. Not even a denial, nor questions, nor pursuit of further corroboration, nor any inquiries - NOTHING.
I am a rotten soul, full of faults, and I have had a lifetime of clumsy failures. Still, with whatever dignity is still musterable, I appeal herewith to all my godbrothers, godsisters and fellow followers of Srila Prabhupada to take this poisoning issue seriously, and fulfill your responsibility as benefactors of the Messenger of Godhead by acting in your individual capacities for a conclusive resolution of this evil deed and its consequences. The "poison investigation" and the search for the truth in this matter requires (and demands) your participation and support.
Please do not turn away and allow this crime to be obscured by time, ignorance, fear or apathy. Contribute to a final resolution.
The first suggestion is to study the published evidence to date in my open letter/ book, available on a donation basis from PO Box 28, Efland, NC 27243; email at rivervillage@mindspring.com. [address might not be valid anymore] How can someone address the issue without becoming fully acquainted with the evidence? Perhaps many suspect my book is sloppy, accusatory, unscientific or speculative. Not so.
It is well-researched and documented, sticks to the facts, and contains a new, 150 page biographical account of Srila Prabhupada's last year. It is organized and scientific. I worked on it very hard for one year in cooperation with many other devotees.
In summary, the evidence presented in the publication is:
1. Audio forensic test results of the "poison whispers."
2. Analysis of Srila Prabhupada's 1977 hair.
3. Analysis of chronic arsenic poisoning symptoms in Srila Prabhupada's 1977 health record, and comparison to other case studies.
4. New translations of foreign language taped conversations wherein Srila Prabhupada discusses His being poisoned.
5. In depth look at the issues of water, medicines, suspects and much more.
Once familiar with the facts, my second suggestion for those wanting to help with this investigation is to help locate authentic Srila Prabhupada hair samples from 1977 that can be analyzed for further confirmation of results already accumulated. Also, anyone who has any information regarding the incidents and circumstances surrounding Srila Prabhupada's deteriorating health in 1977 may please contact myself (at above address or 1 800 242 0115) or Naveen Krishna Prabhu at PO Box 1119, Alachua, Fl 32615 (or 904 462 2310).[address might not be valid anymore]
The VNN poll in May/ June showed about half of the readers believed Srila Prabhupada had been poisoned. If you doubt this, please first acquaint yourself with the evidence in my book. Whether you send me the $5 donation as requested or not, I will be happy to send you a copy. The establishment of the full truth of this matter through honest and scientific investigation is crucial to the future health of Srila Prabhupada's Mission to rescue the fallen souls of this dark age. Again, please help by getting involved. Please don't be an ostrich. Read the book and then do as your conscience dictates.
Balavanta Prabhu is quietly continuing to accumulate further evidence in his separate investigation into Srila Prabhupada's poisoning. Apparently his testing of Vrindaban and Mayapur water samples has settled any question that there was arsenic contaminated drinking water that would produce the levels of arsenic he found in Srila Prabhupada's hair. Balavanta Prabhu's silent strategy is certainly aggravating to those who are impatient to know what evidence he has gathered, but, I, for one, am confident that his upcoming report will be honest, thorough and shocking. Many are hoping that his report will be made available soon.
Investigation by Restore the Mission, an independent entity, continues and new, crucial evidence continues to be documented in bits and pieces. The Supreme Lord will decide when the final breakthrough is revealed; we are confident that it will come soon.
The first truth is that His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada WAS poisoned with arsenic. The evidence is substantial and practically irrefutable (except by those who speak out of ignorance, not having studied my report and jumping to conclusions about the nature of arsenic poisoning, making vague generalizations, etc). The second truth, yet to be established but very important to each of us and the cause of spiritual justice, is WHO POISONED Srila Prabhupada? Again, I appeal to all of you: do not turn your back on Srila Prabhupada, the search for truth and your responsibilty to the ideal of justice. Better late than never.
In the near future, I will attempt to discuss, more philosophically, some of the typical reactions that have surfaced to the "poison issue." Contributions would be appreciated.
May you be blessed with the mercy of the pure devotee, Srila Prabhupada.
Remaining your decrepid servant, I ask pardon for my offenses.

GBC Not Requesting Poison Book
BY NITYANANDA DAS
USA, Jun 1 (VNN) — Since the announcement of the book Someone Has Poisoned Me five weeks ago, which contains hardcore forensic evidence proving the theory of Srila Prabhupada's poisoning to be actually a FACT, there has been no statement from ISKCON, the GBC Chairman, any GBC or any ISKCON guru on the subject.
Only four GBC have requested the book, and two as a result of an e-mail from me to them asking why they were not interested. One GBC even made light of the subject, saying he always liked me, even though I was crazy as hell...
I would not expect the GBC to be able to respond to the evidence contained in this open letter/ book (from me to all followers of Srila Prabhupada) unless they first read it. And to read it, they must have the book, which I will be happy to send upon request to any GBC, "guru," sannyasi or temple president for free. This matter is perhaps the greatest crime in Kali Yuga to date, and the GBC, mandated to protect Srila Prabhupada and His Holy Mission, are not interested enough to request a book which proves that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned with arsenic? Could someone explain why? One thousand devotees worldwide have already requested or read the book... I have received not one negative feedback from anyone who read it. But where are the leaders of ISKCON?
I personally protest the inaction and apathy of the GBC and emphatically recommend that the GBC do the following:
1. Study the subject of Srila Prabhupada's poisoning, starting with this new book.
2. Expand the investigation into Srila Prabhupada's poisoning by greatly increased funding and manpower selected from the ranks of unmotivated and trustworthy devotees.
3. Keep the followers of Srila Prabhupada informed of the progress of the investigation.
4. And make it PRIORITY ONE to find out who committed this obnoxious crime, as all indications are that the poisoners may well still be in positions as GBC or gurus within ISKCON even today.
Further delay and apathy by the GBC will be taken as the last straw for many who have tired of the cover-ups and political machinations over the last 22 years. In my opinion, it is the duty of each who owes a debt to Srila Prabhupada to address this issue seriously, beginning with the facts in my letter/ book. If Srila Prabhupada was attacked with a deadly poison, which the facts prove is the case, then it follows that we are required to come to His defense, better late than never. Since Srila Prabhupada has now physically departed and we can no longer prevent His poisoning, we must then:
1. Defend the attempt for a full discovery and establishment of the truth of the poisoning in the face of lies, ignorance and apathy
2. Defend His mission from whatever purpose the poisoners had in committing their crime (think this one over carefully).
In two weeks I will post the names of all GBC's who did not care to request the book containing the evidence that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned. If anyone has a reason why to ignore this issue, please speak out and let us hear your reasons. Otherwise, read the book and study the evidence. Some comments I have received thus far from readers:
"Please send two more poison books as I have friends who want to read it." "Send a case of books for the festival this weekend- I know many devotees who will want a copy to read." "Your book was a real eye-opener... a bomb!" "Very well organized and presented, objective and well-written." I hereby invite ANYONE WHO HAS READ THE BOOK to post their review of the contents on VNN, CHAKRA, etc.
To order: send $5 (plus $2 postage in USA; $3 Canada, $7 Foreign, $15 air mail) to: PO Box 208, Mayodan, NC 27027 or call 1 800 242 0115 or 1 919 563 8826 or e-mail at rivervillage@mindspring.com [address might not be valid anymore]
P.S. The two whispers analyzed and verified by CAE Studios, as described in the book Someone Has Poisoned Me, are now featured at this audio forensic laboratory's own website. They are downloadable via three different software programs and are "virtual" originals as described in Chapter 10.
The quality is probably the more superior than any version otherwise available. The two whispers are the "The poison's going down" and "Poisoning for a long time... To me?..Get ready to go."
The website address is: http://www.CAEaudio.com [not valid anymore]
These are the same whispers that the GBC Chairman and spokesperson, namely Bir Krishna Maharaj and Ravindra Swarup Prabhu, stated last year did not contain the word "poison," and that those who suspected that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned were subscribing to a "malicious theory." What say they now?
Kaviraja: (speaks in Hindi)
Tamala Krsna: Put poison in different containers.
Unknown person: That's all right.
Audio Clip in WAV Format (2.4 MB) - [(((audio)))]
This is not a whisper - these words are clearly audible. It is interesting to note that even though the transcription of this section of the audio tape was transcribed into the BBT Folio, this sentence was omitted. Why was this sentence omitted? How will BBT / Bhaktivedanta Archives officials explain this mystery?
"The poison is going down (giggle) the poison is going down"
Audio Clip in WAV Format (2.4 MB) - [(((audio)))]
"Is the poison in the milk umm humm"

Response To Puripada And ISKCON Regarding Srila Prabhupada's Poisoning
BY NITYANANDA DAS
EDITORIAL, Sep 14 (VNN) — For 22 months the investigation into the poisoning of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, has been pursued by primarily two entities.
ONE: Balavanta Prabhu was appointed by the 1997 GBC Chairman Madhusevita Prabhu through his executive powers, without approval by the whole GBC. Had Madhusevita Prabhu not acted spontaneously in response to the initial flurry of "poison whisper" discoveries, it is doubtful that the GBC would have acted to investigate the poisoning evidence at all. It is known that many GBC's and ISKCON gurus were disturbed by Madhusevita Prabhu's action and thus we can explain the almost two years of silence by ISKCON in this matter.
According to the persons themselves, Balavanta Prabhu, former GBC Chairman, and his assistant Naveen Krishna Prabhu, longtime GBC and ISKCON Foundation officer, are both firmly convinced that Srila Prabhupada was indeed maliciously poisoned in 1977. Apparently Naveen has a number of GBC's and other ISKCON senior men convinced of the same, and the official silence of Balavanta and Naveen Prabhus is simply part of their investigative strategy. When their report is finally issued, it WILL definitely confirm that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned, according to trusted sources.
TWO: Restore The Mission, the other, "grass-roots" investigation, has been conducted by a loose-knit group of devotees worldwide. I have simply organized, researched and chronicled the evidence in a book which is now available to anyone interested as a letter from me in the form of a report.
This private investigation continues to gather ever-more damaging materials and evidence; our mission is to discover the complete historical truth in the matter of Srila Prabhupada's poisoning. Whoever committed this unimaginable crime will be pursued to the farthest ends of the universe until the whole truth is known and justice is done.
The evidence presented in my book/letter (Someone Has Poisoned Me) is summarized as follows:
1. Srila Prabhupada's hair, collected by Hari Sauri Prabhu, was analyzed by Balavanta Prabhu through neutron activation analysis at a university laboratory and was found to contain about 3 parts per million of arsenic.
The dramatic significance of this is studied thoroughly in my book; in brief, this is about 10 times more than the average person and is a serious threat of the health of an elderly person such as Srila Prabhupada.
2. The water in Vrindaban and Mayapur were analyzed for arsenic content by Balavanta Prabhu, and found to be NOT the source of the poison found in the hair sample. The great unlikelihood that the high level of arsenic in Srila Prabhupada's hair coming from water OR MEDICINES is fully analyzed in my book also.
3. A synoptic, synthesized Srila Prabhupada health biography of 155 pages for the year 1977 was constructed from all known biographical sources, including the taped conversations transcribed by the Bhaktivedanta Archives and newly translated sections where Srila Prabhupada Himself speaks about being poisoned. Thus, the title's origin to my book, taken from His Divine Grace's own words, "Someone has poisoned me." My book studies the aforementioned health history meticulously and with adequate reference to many medical school library textbooks. The inescapable and as yet unchallenged conclusion after 1500 books have been read worldwide: Srila Prabhupada clearly displayed the symptoms of chronic arsenic poisoning, not simply dropsy or kidney ailments as previously thought by Abhiram Prabhu and others.
4. The extremely unique and distinctive symptoms of chronic arsenic poisoning which Srila Prabhupada exhibited throughout 1977 are then carefully compared to the health symptoms of several other well documented and studied cases of arsenic poisoning, including that of Napoleon and Blanche Taylor Moore, now on death row in N. Carolina.
5. The extensive analysis by an audio forensic expert was performed on the various "poison whispers" which, by now, have been clearly heard by hundreds of devotees worldwide. The whispers are found on the third to the last tape recording of Srila Prabhupada on November 11, 1977, about 72 hours before His Divine Grace's departure and the very next day AFTER Srila Prabhupada tells His kaviraj/ doctor and Bhakticaru Swami in Bengali that He has been poisoned. The forensic tests confirm the whispers, "·poisoning for a long time" as spoken by Jayapataka Swami, and "the poison's going down" spoken by an unknown devotee in the room. The "poison whispers" are NOT just whatever you think you want to hear, as ISKCON apologists have claimed; instead, they are extremely significant and alarming.
6. There have been persistent rumors of witnesses to the poisoning of Srila Prabhupada through the years since His departure. Great progress, as yet unpublished, has been made in this area. In addition, rumors of poisoning have circulated throughout ISKCON since 1977, and are only now being substantiated and documented by both investigative teams.
7. My book also objectively chronicles potentially relevant evidence such as the Chandraswamy connection, the suspects and their possible motives, the possible methods of poisoning, and much more. These pieces of evidence and information may ultimately prove invaluable in the completion of the investigation.
8. My book also briefly describes the science of reverse speech analysis, used by many law enforcement agencies worldwide, notably the Mossad, the Israeli secret police. Anyone can check out the website by David Oates on reverse speech, or contact Dhanesvara Prabhu about his shocking reverse speech research on the late 1977 tape recordings by e-mail at Dhanesvara@aol.com. He recently released an audio CD with his extensive findings.
9. My book's research and presentation of evidence is supplemented with 24 appendices, one of which chronicles a recently uncovered tape recording of Tamal Krishna Goswami shortly after Srila Prabhupada's departure. TKG flatly claims that Srila Prabhupada asked for "medicine" to die peacefully, implying that there had been a suicide/ mercy-killing. The full transcription of this conversation is hopefully being posted by VNN separately, with the very bizarre and suspicious TKG statement highlighted for easy reference.
The book Someone Has Poisoned Me, 408 pages long, ia available upon request for a $ 5 donation plus postage from Restore the Mission, PO Box 208, Mayodan, NC 27027 or e-mail me at rivervillage@ mindspring.com. [address might not be valid anymore]
On Sept.6, 1999, ISKCON made an official statement on "poison allegations, " apparently being forced to respond to articles in Asian Age Report and Indian newspapers. ISKCON alleges that the majority of members do not believe in the poisoning "theory, " although a June 1999 VNN poll showed over 50% of the readers believed Srila Prabhupada WAS poisoned. Then the statement conveniently buys more time above and beyond the last 22 months of denial by waiting until March, 2000, when Balavanta Prabhu's report is "expected." With all due respect to Balavanta Prabhu and his deliberate, secretive investigative progress, we were "expecting" his report last March also. There is no telling when Balavanta Prabhu will issue his report, if ever. We do know that Balavanta Prabhu has audio forensic confirmations of the poison whispers from several different labs, the hair analysis, the water analysis, and witness evidence. But meanwhile, there is my full report on the same evidence which, unfortunately, ISKCON is not interested in. A grand total of 4 GBC's asked for the book. And 1500 members of ISKCON and Lord Chaitanya's movement.
Why is ISKCON not interested in my book, Someone Has Poisoned Me? In their recent official statement: "·others question the credibility of the poison advocates, and charge that "evidence" for the allegations was exaggerated, or perhaps even manufactured, by persons motivated by ill will against ISKCON." I guess that refers to me, as is seen in some recent Chakra and VNN articles and interviews of Jagannath das Puripada. I will respond briefly.
Of course, my credibility IS suspect because I am a conditioned soul and subject to the four defects of conditioned life. However, I reassure the reader herewith that I have tried very hard to objectively and without bias present the evidence in this matter for the consideration of those interested. I have no ill will towards ISKCON, only towards the corruption and self-aggrandizing leaders that have pirated Srila Prabhupada's mission.
After serving as a temple president for over 20 years and working hard for making devotees and establishing temples and farms, and being instrumental in the donation of $25 million to ISKCON during those years, I would as soon die as become an enemy of ISKCON. But dishonesty, lies and cheating cannot be tolerated in Srila Prabhupada's mission, in His ISKCON.
Naturally, I am opposed to these things out of service to my conscience and duty to His Divine Grace. Because I challenged the GBC regarding their proof for their absolute guru system and their proof against the rtvik system, I was excommunicated in 1990 (without getting the proof!). However, I cannot act contrary to my conscience and understanding of Srila Prabhupada's instructions. Thus my excommunication is my 'badge of honor, " and I will continue to seek the whole truth about the poisoning of Srila Prabhupada until my last breath.
How many times has the GBC and our ISKCON leadership lied to us, stonewalled us, in the last 22 years? Who will give much credence to THEIR statements of stalling and policies of attacking the character of those who do not fall in line with their official positions? What about the issue at hand? What about all this practically irrefutable evidence that Srila Prabhupada was maliciously poisoned by arsenic, the most insidious and horrible poison known? And so many of my godbrothers in leadership positions are SILENT, ignoring my book of evidence, ignoring what they fear may end up ruining their own positions, income, security etc as an ISKCON dependent, political aspirant or guru.
No evidence in my book was altered, manufactured or exaggerated. The poison tape was sent directly from the Archives to the forensic lab. I did not have anything to do with Balavanta's hair analysis except to locate the lab and obtain the results. Has Anuttama Prabhu, ISKCON spokesman who released the recent ISKCON statement, read my book? Specifically, what could have been manufactured or falsified, as Puripada also alleges? To analyze tape recordings by reverse speech method is not falsifying, tampering or manufacturing evidence. Puripada had no role in the production of the "Poison CD" of January 1998 except as a narrator. I did not ask him do do anything else, and after hearing his tone and manner of voice, and for other reasons as well, I decided the CD to be unsatisfactory. I did not reproduce it. However, it ended up in the hands of Harikesh, and ISKCON issued an official response months later to a CD that was never produced or distributed. Instead, I spent another 15 months in the compilation of my book, which I believe to be a much superior presentation of the poisoning evidence. The evidence is fully substantiated and verifiable; no question of the crdeibility of the evidence can stand up to proper scrutiny of my investigative report.
Puripada literally cheated me out of $2000 and it is suspected that he sold the CD to Harikesh. My experience with him has been most unpleasant, as he is fond of foul language and acts unpredictably. Yet, he is featured on Chakra (previously discredited on Chakra) and indirectly referred to in ISKCON's statement as being a credible person to discredit my CD that never was, my book, my "theories" and my self. Incredibly, however, the truth marches on and is available for asking in Someone Has Poisoned Me. No one has yet to disagree or argue with the evidence in my book. Most ISKCON leaders have probably read or skimmed through the book, but have no reply.
Rather than argue "credibity of poison advocates, " when will ISKCON's leaders address the credibilty of the now-public evidence which proves that Srila Prabhupada, our Divine Master and Ever Well Wisher, was cruelly and slowly poisoned by arsenic? Their excuse of waiting is but a diversionary ploy to buy more time while the poisoners, probably still in positions of ISKCON leadership, continue to exploit the sacred body of Srila Prabhupada's institution and mission. I, for one, will not stand by in apathy, hopelessness or silence, regardless of whether I am credible or not. Each follower of Srila Prabhupada owes it to themselves and the cause of truth, to study the evidence which the ISKCON leaders are ignoring. Please, don't turn away. This is a worthy cause to pursue. If your son or mother had been poisoned, and you found out about it years later, would you ignore it? Or philosophize it away? Or criticize the messenger? No, you would be intent (amongst other emotions perhaps much stronger) on finding the truth and seeking justice. So far, we know Srila Prabhupada was poisoned, but we cannot yet prove exactly for sure who did it. Help pressure ISKCON to confront this issue head-on now, let us find the poisoners and restore Srila Prabhupada's mission. Please get involved and serve His Divine Grace's honor by standing up for the search for truth.

Poisonous Whispers: Arsenic Killed Iskcon Founder In '77
By Ashish Kumar Sen
San Francisco: After over 18 months of research, disturbing evidence has surfaced around the death of Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. A new book authored by Nityananda Das, himself an Iskcon disciple, shows the religious leader may have been poisoned by his own trusted disciples.
The hierarchy at Iskcon has, however, refused to be rattled by the allegations and feels it is premature to jump to any conclusion at present. The book is based on audio forensic test results of the "poison whispers, " analysis of Srila Prabhupada's hair samples taken in 1977, analysis of chronic arsenic poisoning symptoms in his health record of 1977, new translations of taped conversations wherein Srila Prabhupada discusses his being poisoned and an indepth look at the issues of water, medicines and suspects.
"In my opinion, the evidence is solid that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned, but by whom is not yet known. The level of proof coincidences, and circumstantial evidence makes for a very compelling verdict, " Nityananda Das writes in his foreword to his book Someone Has Poisoned Me.
For the past 15 weeks, the underground distribution of Someone Has Poisoned Me has circulated throughout the Iskcon devotee world in the US, Canada, China, India, England, Fiji, Trinidad, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and many other countries. The spontaneous network through which these books have passed was formed by those wanting to know about the evidence which establishes that Srila Prabhupada was slowly poisoned by arsenic in 1977.
While hoping that further evidence will show all of his findings to be "no more than a false alarm, " Nityananda feels this does not even seem remotely likely.
The book was initially based on tape recordings of Srila Prabhupada's conversations with his disciples, in which he repeatedly mentions his suspicion of having been poisoned. It was the whispers of his disciples, later analysed by advanced technology, which proved to be incriminating.
"The whispers are attention-grabbing, but what Srila Prabhupada said is the primary evidence, and the rest is supporting evidence. Since then a positive hair analysis has very much strengthened the case, " the author writes.
The book zeroes in on Tamal Krishna Goswami, Jayapataka Swami and Bhakticharu Swami, all prominent members in the Isckon hierarchy, as being suspects in the founder's death. Tamal Krishna Goswami was Srila Prabupada's secretary and primary caretaker for most of 1977, the year the religious leader passed away.
The 20 tapes of Srila Prabhupada's last conversations had never been released or advertised by the BBT Archives tape ministry. So only a few devotees had ever listened to them.
Isha Prabhu, a devotee since 1974, examined the whispers carefully using sophisticated electronic equipment, and had enhancements done on the tapes by Federal Bureau of Investigation-approved laboratories. "My conclusion after hundreds of hours of analysis is that it is possible that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned, " Das quotes Isha Prabhu as saying. Another senior Iskcon member, former temple president and founder of the Florida Vedic College, Mahabuddhi Prabhu, has been quoted as saying: "We (my son and I) listened to the tape, we enhanced it and listened to it. We became a little shocked because we thought we heard something like 'Let's put the poison in the milk, ' and the more we heard it the more it sounded that way."
Expert analysis of the tapes has "found" more incriminating whispers. Some of these are ‹ "'Let's poison him and go, the poison is going down, ' and 'put poison in different containers.'" Nityanand Das writes that Balvanta Prabhu had, in an earlier report, said: "It (the tape) contains a whisper which refers to poison. According to the laboratory technician it was, 'Let's not poison him and go' or 'Let's now poison him and go.' We are now sending the tape to another laboratory with more advanced equipment for further investigation."
Though it is difficult to make out the whispers due to so much of the quality being lost in transmission, several devotees have been taken by Naveen Krishna Prabhu in Alachua to a local sound studio to listen to the enhanced whispers. "Most agree, after listening carefully a few times, and there is no doubt in their minds, Srila Prabhupada was poisoned in a conspiracy by his own closest disciples, " Nityananda writes.
Srila Prabhupada left this mortal world on November 14, 1977.
But He lives forever in His instructions, and His followers will always live with Him.
"He reasons ill who tells that Vaishnavas die
While thou art living still in sound!
The Vaishnavas die to live, and living try
To spread the Holy Name around"
